Immerse yourself in the vibrant streets of Tokyo alongside the renowned and award-winning street photographer, Avi Yap. Join him on an unforgettable journey where you’ll gain valuable insights into the art of visual storytelling, masterful composition, and the nuances of lighting.


Avi will also share his unique post processing and editing workflow step by step, to enhance the images captured. Avi is proficient in multiple languages and can communicate effectively without any language barriers. He is fluent in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and French.


This reservation pass is valid for 60 days from the purchase date. The masterclass appointment must be booked at least 14 days in advance.

  •  The cost of the workshop only covers the three-day course. Attendees are responsible for their own expenses, including passports, transportation (airfare, bus, trains, taxi), hotel accommodations, meals, and any other personal expenses.
  • Please note that trains may be crowded during peak hours, so be prepared for potential confined spaces.
  • Tokyo’s bustling streets can transition from near empty to teeming with crowds at any moment. Large crowds are a normal part of the city’s atmosphere.
  • Ensure you have Japanese yen as some establishments may only accept cash, despite the growing acceptance of credit cards.
  • Opt for accommodations near Shinjuku Station, as most shooting sessions and editing sessions will commence there.
  • Pack warm clothing and wet weather gear in case of rain. The shooting will continue even during inclement weather.
  • Expect to walk a minimum of 5 miles per day, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some physical activity.
  • Before enrolling, consult with a medical professional to discuss any health concerns that may affect your participation.
  • Class size is limited to 8 people, ensuring a more personalized and intimate learning experience.
  • Attendees should have a basic understanding of camera operation, including aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
  • Remember to bring spare batteries and conserve battery life by refraining from unnecessary LCD usage during shooting.
  • Refunds are only available up to 30 days prior to the course start date due to high demand. No refunds will be given after that point.
  • It is highly recommended to have camera insurance to protect against loss, damage, or theft.
